The LOLCC welcomed Anita Ramski, representing Ric Bresee MPP Hastings - Lennox and Addington to the Mother’s Day Tea (held Saturday, May 11th) who offered congratulations to the club for the receipt of an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant to upgrade the facility. Club President Rhonda Cassibo expressed our gratitude and said all attending the annual Mother's Day Tea were enjoying our beautiful new floors, tables and chairs as well as reaping the benefits of upgraded waterproofing!
Hard to believe, but we have come to the end of our 2023/24 curling season here at the Land O' Lakes Curling Club (LOLCC). And what a great season it was!
We held eight bonspiels and played host to one including: the Strike & Sweep Bonspiel, the Turkey White Elephant Bonspiel, the Doubles Bonspiel, the Ladies Camo Bonspiel, the Alice Thompson Bonspiel, the Farmers' Bonspiel, the Spring Fling Bonspiel, the Junior Bonspiel and hosted the Kiwanis Club's Klinespiel. Thank you to our members and to participants joining us from other area curling clubs. You all made each and everyone one of our bonspiels a success.
Thank you to the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to make sure things ran seamlessly whether it was our bonspiels, our Leagues, our Open Houses, our Learn to Curl program, our Junior Curling program or our tasty dinners (Spaghetti Dinner & Roast Beef Dinner).
But wait... the curling season may have drawn to a close but the Land O' Lakes Curling Club still has plenty of amazing events planned. Make sure you check out our Fish Fry Dinner on April 11th (details posted on our website & Facebook) and our Mother's Day Tea on May 11th (information will be posted shortly re tickets). Also stay tuned for the start up of Pickleball and Shuffleboard at the LOLCC!
