We offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive; if you’re 6, 106 or somewhere in-between, the Land O' Lakes Curling Club is sure to have a league suitable for you.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 1 pm Tag Draw League
- This is an individual entry, social format
- Each member is given a tag with their name on it. They may place their tag in either the Lead/Second, or
Skip/Third “hat”. Teams are made up from members present each day - This league is excellent for seniors, beginning curlers, and those who can't commit to a regular schedule
Monday Evening 7pm Doubles Team Entry League
- Competitive doubles curling made up of either men or women in any combination. Team entry format.
- A team is composed of two players and games are scheduled for eight ends. Scoring is the same as regular
curling
Tuesday Morning 10:00am Doubles League
- This is a individual or team entry format
- A team is composed of two players and games are scheduled for eight ends. Scoring is the same as regular
curling
Tuesday 1 pm Mixed League
- This is an individual entry, social format
- Teams are made up by convenor at start of season, then shuffled every round robin. The shuffling is done by
a numerical (no choice) system - This league is excellent for good curling, and mixing socially with other members
- Teams must contain men & women, preferably 2 of each per team
Tuesday 4:00-5:30 pm Juniors Program (Ages 12+)
- All equipment is supplied. Just bring clean running shoes & warm clothing. All curlers must wear masks at all
times and must be fully vaccinated
Tuesday 7:30pm Open League
- This is a team entry, competitive format where the teams remain together for the full season
- Members may enter individually-they will be placed, if possible, into an existing team
- While deemed competitive, this league is not restricted to high skill level members only
- This league is good for those who want a somewhat higher level of competitive curling
- Teams may contain men & women in any combination
Wednesday 7pm Mix & Match League
- In the Fall this league will be comprised of Learn to Curl participants and those who will be playing regular
curling - In January, the Learn to Curl participants will be integrated into the regular curling teams and continue as a
social, team based league. Regular curlers must be prepared to welcome new curlers on their team.
Thursday 1pm Men's League
- While competitive, this league is also deemed "social", as the teams are shuffled every round robin
- The shuffling is done by the Skips selecting players from the "pool" in reverse order to the point totals their
team achieved in the previous round. - This league is excellent for men of all skill levels.
